Problem Statement Starting Point
How does the advances of technology in the transportation infrastructure predestine how one designs and shapes the built environment at the junctions where they meet?
Project Emphasis
This thesis will look into the relationship between transit and architecture, particularly at the nodes of a transit line. The focus is on the influence they have on our cities and towns. Studying this at the node is important because it is the first impression of the city or town. At this level it is possible to see which entity dictates over the other. The hope is to study the direct relationship between transit and architecture, setting up possibilities of study in employing transportation smarter to better the function of our cities and towns with the least overall negative impacts.
